Our Story
Wood Inspired was founded to provide the highest quality hand crafted wood products that will withstand the test of time. Wood Inspired was founded by Dewey and Linda Monson. The seed that grew to be Wood Inspired was planted several years before the company of Wood Inspired started without Dewey and Linda knowing it. The story started back when Dewey and Linda owned and operated a lumber and hardware store in Northern Minnesota for over a decade. Even though the lumber and hardware store was in a smaller town, the area was also right in the center of lakes country. As you can imagine many of the projects that were bid on by the lumber and hardware store were projects for custom cabins where customers focused on the quality of products, craftsmanship, and an area where hard work, integrity, craftsmanship and focus on quality was a way of life.
It was this experience at the lumber and hardware store that Dewey and Linda both learned about the importance of using quality products in projects you really want to last and showcase craftsmanship. Fast forward to Wood Inspired, the integrity, quality, and focus on fine craftsmanship is an everyday way of life for Wood Inspired.
